Cobweb and Stripes Review with James Paradie: Chapter 2 - The Exorcist

First. I wonder what the chapter title is referencing ...

Eh. I don't know either.

Overview:

The chapter starts off with Lydia wanting to have a move night with her father, Charles, watching The Exorcist. Charles has something he needs to get done, so Lydia is flying solo tonight on the movie train. Who should show up, but Beetlejuice, who wants to watch his most favorite flick (I've always pegged Beetlejuice to be more of a Porky's guy). Lydia kind of disproves, but quickly changes her mind and let's the dead guy watch it with her. Quickly, Lydia falls asleep and Beetlejuice doesn't really notice. The movie ends and Beetlejuice decides to do the nice thing and carry her to bed.

He's a pervert with morals. That is a good thing!

My Review:

No pros, no cons, or middle ground with this one, because it was a very short chapter with them just harmlessly watching a movie. It would be unfair to judge this on story. I think that's fair. I will say a few things though: the art looks better than the first chapter. Charles looks a little funky, but it's fine, he's not a major player in this chapter anyway. Like I said, just a harmless chapter with them watching a movie. It's cute to see them get along; the art looks more defined than the last chapter, and that's basically it. Nothing spectacular, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
