The Paranormal Guide Presents: Ghosts, Ghouls, and Demons - Perfume Ghosts

Perfume Ghosts
Ghosts, Ghouls and Demons

Term: Derived from paranormal investigators to describe ‘phantom scents’.

Description: Olfactory reception of a sweet scent with no locatable origin.

People who experience this, state that they are ‘suddenly aware of a smell’ that they are unable to locate the origin of. They can relate this smell to a deceased relative’s favourite perfume or aftershave. They then believe this to be a ghostly visitation with positive connotations. Not all smells are as pleasant. It is said that foul smells such as decomposition of garbage or sulphurs could mean that a negative or dark entity is making their presence known. Cigarette smoke is also a commonly reported phenomenon and people relate this to people whom were smokers during their lifetime.

In any case, your senses are the way we factor in the world around us. So to experience such things as a smell that cannot be traced to a logical source requires further investigation.
