Can pets come back as ghosts?

Yes, it is very common for your pets to come back to visit or comfort you after they died. You may hear familiar sounds that were associated with your pet; you may see the misty image of your pet; and in some cases you may see an indentation on the pet's bed or your bed, wherever the pet slept.
While no one is really sure if other animals come back as ghosts, it is widely believed that pets come back because of the strong emotional bonds they had with their human companions.

While no one is really sure if other animals come back as ghosts, it is widely believed that pets come back because of the strong emotional bonds they had with their human companions.
Ghosts of animals have been witnessed on battlefields, as well as many other places, but the most common place is in a home soon after a pet has died.
Some people have reported hearing the ghost of their dog growling if someone gets too close, and even the United States Capitol building is allegedly haunted by the ghost of a cat that appears out of the shadows with glowing eyes and startles people.
It's not uncommon to hear the purring of a ghost cat sleeping on your bed and seeing an indentation in the bed covers where it has rested in life. Reports of this still go on today!
