SS Blog: Politics in the Paranormal

SS Blog: Politics in the Paranormal

Greetings Graveyard Disciples and welcome to the first edition of the SS Blog. This is a new idea I had where instead of being in the confides of just doing articles about different haunted locations or subjects on the paranormal, I can make this a personal blog where I can talk more freely about why I'm into this strange world of the paranormal.

I'm starting to realize more now than ever that you simply can't keep politics out of anything. You have it at work, you have it in sports, and yes, you have it in the paranormal. There's drama, there's slandering, and it's not all milk and cookies. In the past two years that I've done this I've had my fair share of people getting after me, because my field of interest is the paranormal and it bugs some people.

That's part of the reason why I had to put a message on my Devil's Toy Box article stating it is not me who invented this theory, but someone else. If you got any concerns bring it to Joseph Warren, not me. I've gotten so many emails and people posting on forums saying that MY theory is wrong. Again, it isn't my theory. I'm just reporting all these stories. If it was my theory, I'll let you know.

I think some people will make the mistake that I'm a pro paranormal investigator. Indeed I go on ghost hunts, but I'm just like any average Joe out there. I have a normal day job and ghost hunting is a weekend thing (although not as much as I wish.) And I have such an interest in the field that I report on it and share that interest with others who have the same interest or just the casual reader. Both seem to enjoy my articles though, so thank you.

So, getting into the paranormal to be apart of the field whether as an investigator, writer, or (less likely) TV personality is great. Go for it, but expect to be questioned on every little thing, because there are tons of people out there that THINK they know more about it than you, and maybe they do, but the paranormal is just a constant "what if" world. We don't know the answers and for those who act like they do, then fine, but nobody knows for sure. But the paranormal is filled with politics just like anywhere else, so you can run, but you can't hide!

Enjoy the rest of your day and Happy Haunting!
