(Please Note: Do NOT email me or NEPI asking where this location is. I can understand looking for a midnight fright, but we also need to protect the clients privacy as well.)

Though I have been asked to keep the name of this Inn silent, I will give you some clues: it is somewhere around Littleton, it's one of the oldest buildings in the town, and you can bet on it being rumored to be haunted. How haunted? I gave my friends over at NEPI an email asking them questions about their investigation at this confidential haunted inn.

July 28th, 2006 marked a time of celebration in the history of the Northeastern Paranormal Investigations team as this was their first investigation. You only have one time to make a first impression and they were ready. With a tape recorder and three video cameras, they were determined to see if the rumors were true. The rumors, if you are asking, is that this Inn has seen death in one of its rooms. Maids will leave rooms unattended only to return with the TV on. Fans turn on by themselves, and a front desk bell rings when there is no one around to touch it. Most of the activity takes place in room forty-three (43). Was there any activity on this night though?

The evidence, though small compared to my experiences with the NEPI gang, proved to not be a waste of time. They did dowsing rod and EVP sessions that showed mixed results in room nineteen (19) where the death occurred. They also heard footsteps in the hall which was very peculiar as the floor is carpeted. After a few days or so, they went over evidence and saw a white orb coming down the hallway, but who can say it wasn't a bug or dust or something? We do have a saying in NEPI and that is, "Orbs smorbs." They also saw the light in room forty-three go off and then on when nobody was present and it happened it again!

Is the Inn haunted? They said they were excited as it was their first investigation, but they said what they really needed was me to get the spirits to come out, and that my incredible presence in the group wouldn't become true until October 2009, two years later. Okay, guess which part I made up. In all seriousness, they said they can't come to the conclusion if it's haunted or not as there was guests still at the inn during the investigation walking around.

Which reminds me: If you feel like you have any spirits in your house and would like to have NEPI come in to do an investigation, feel free to contact Anthony at 444-7142. We're willing to travel to Vermont, so our neighbors from the west shouldn't delay to call! Also, we're open to inviting some more investigators in our group, if interested give the same phone number a call. Just please remember, we have lives and regular jobs just like everyone else, so we may not be able to get back to your right away, but we will.

There's the Thayer's, there's the Littleton Opera House, and then there's the Beal House Inn. Not only are these spots famous locations and everyday sights for people who live in Littleton, they are also three of the reported haunted locations of the area. Let's explore the Beal House Inn.

The Beal House Inn was built as a farmhouse in 1833, but Mrs. Beal turned it into an inn in 1933. Over the years the inn has seen many owners, but in its 2001 purchase is when strange happenings started to take place. In 2001, the owners of the Beal House began renovations and one night, one of the owners parents came over from Europe to spend a couple nights at their son and daughter's new establishment. While no details were given of her experience the mother told them that she had some activity in her room during her stay.

Since then, strange occurences have happened to the almost two century home building. Another incident is where a housekeeper was painting when she felt some pressure on her hip, thinking it was one of the owners as they were in and out throughout the day, she was going to move to the side, but something held (or forced) her there for a few seconds. She turned and there was no one there, but when she finally caught her breath and resumed painting, the same pressure happened on the other side.

Strange, unintelligible male voices have been heard in the common room where people have been relaxing, but when they ask whoever is there (and alive) who said that, they all say it wasn't them speaking. Although I did not receive an a reply back from the owners of the Beal House Inn if they've had any experiences, they did reply to a letter from "Haunted New Hampshire" author Thomas D' Agostino telling him that the wife had an experience where she saw a shadow and when she saw nobody was there, she went back to her paperwork and a sudden warm feeling came to her, but pleasant.

Don't be scared to stay a night at the Beal House Inn as mediums and guests alike have said that if there is ghosts there, they are protecting the Inn. So spend a night in the Beal House Inn and maybe you'll be lucky enough to be greeted by Mrs. Beal herself and her helpful hands that have stayed behind to help her out in the afterlife.
