Demons (aka: Fallen Angels) Part 1 by Chad Stambaugh

Demons (aka: Fallen Angels) Part 1
The history of demons goes back to the beginning of time itself.  Demons did not always exist however. They were created as angels before man was created. As angels they were good in nature just like all the others, as God intended them to be. However, pride led to the downfall of many of them.  It was this pride that caused these angels to not only think but to even believe that they were equal to God Himself.  It was this pride that caused them to think that they did not have to stay in their assigned roles or duties, and thus themselves above God and rule over even Him (Jude 6).  Lucifer, who was the leader of the rebellion, would become known as Satan and the angels that followed him became demons.
It is important to know and understand one thing before I go any further.  God did not create evil, he can’t.  God is pure, love, kindness, omnipotent, omnipresent, etc.  There is nothing bad or evil about God, there is no darkness in Him what so ever, only light.
It was the pride of some of the angels that caused them to sin against God, thus causing some of them to be chained and cast into the pits of nether gloom to be kept until the last judgment of Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 2:4)  However, not all of the demons were chained and committed to those pits after the rebellion.  The other demons were cast out of the third Heaven which is also known as the heaven of heavens.  This is where Jesus Christ ascended to and now sits and rules over all having all authority, power, and dominion. Thus they were removed from the presence of God and Jesus Christ until the last judgment.
Once they were cast from Heaven they lost a great deal of their powers as a part of their    punishment.  When it comes to their powers they still have more power against non-Christians than they do Christians.  For example, against a non-Christian they can control, possess, deceive, blind them spiritually, and trap them.  To a Christian they can tempt, harass, and deceive them at times but never control or possess them.  Demons can possess people and animals only, not dolls like some people believe.  People will often hear stories of possessed dolls and toys and it is believed because the doll or toy was said to have moved on its own.  What’s happening in those stories is that the doll or toy is being manipulated by the demon, not being possessed.  Demons cannot possess inanimate objects.
It’s not just the powers and abilities of demons that are popular, it’s their appearance too.  Demons have even found their way into medieval art.  During that era they usually appeared as little black evil creatures or “imps” in paintings.  Of course demons do not actually have material or physical bodies.  They can appear as a black humanoid form, but they cannot duplicate the human form perfectly.  This is because demons never were human.  It is more common for them to appear as a black mass, red mist, or orange mist. Although demons have no true form or body they will also appear in an ugly, grotesque form to scare the people they are appearing before.  This is to initiate a reaction of fear. Fear is what a demon feeds off of because it makes them stronger.  Demons can also appear in more friendly forms though to gain acceptance into a home or life.  For example, demons can appear to very small children as another child to gain acceptance into the child’s life and home.  This is where some children get their imaginary friends. This is also a good example of how they deceive people to get what they want.
As I have stated before, demons will do whatever they can to get what they want, nothing is beneath them.  Until the final judgment of Christ they have nothing but time, and the wisdom of the ages to do whatever they can to try and destroy mankind and make him/her suffer as much as possible in the process.

The Cokeville Angel Miracle

I remember watching a movie based on these events. Very good movie and suspenseful for a made for TV feature. Further information is that the kids were fine, but David and Doris Young both died from the explosion.

Haunted with James Paradie: Three Chimneys Inn - Durham, NH

Three Chimneys Inn
Durham, NH

Did You Know: That if you combined all Scared Sheetless articles that have been written since its inception in 2009, it will be 115 pages long? This includes special online features and never before published materials.

The Three Chimneys Inn in Durham, NH has quite the accolades:

2012 Award of Excellence by TripAdvisor

Best Inn Dining by Phantom Gourmet

And it also received a four star rating by the Manchester Union Leader.

This Inn, built in 1649, has a long history. Originally converted from being known as the oldest house standing in Durham; it was converted to be an Inn in 1998. But let’s take a quick glance at its history. The first owner had some class in him, his name was Valentine Hill, and he was New England’s leading entrepreneur in his time. The house started out as a simple singe story with a cellar, an upstairs with a kitchen. In 1699, a two story addition was made to the house. This house even survived an attack by Indians in 1694, which devastated many of the home surrounding the house. This place has a great history, which you can read more on the history of the Inn at www.threechimneysinn.com

But we’re here to talk about the spirits of this place. This bed and breakfast in Durham, NH feels that they have a little guardian angel that resides within its walls. This “angel’s” name hasn’t been identified, but what a nice spirit this has proven to be. One innkeeper said she even left a message for her on the computer one night. How did this happen? Innkeeper Karen Meyer has always felt the presence of a spirit, but a good one, and feels relaxed when this spirit is around. One night after a long day, she went to the office and it was locked. Strange might it be as it can only be locked with a key and nobody else has that key. When she got into the office and onto the computer, on the screen it said, “Time to go home and relax.” Some might say that maybe someone was pulling a prank, but I’m sure Ms. Meyer swears up and down that this was no prank and that it was the Three Chimneys Inn guardian angel.
Others say that the Inn has some pretty rambunctious spirits who tend to not like change. Vendors are stumped when they bring in new equipment and they all don’t work properly. Some say it’s because the spirit or spirits don’t like change. On one occasion, a printer started to print a page without the cord being plugged in. Numbers on calculators appear backwards; could be a faulty calculator but the employees say no. Employees say that this spirit’s named is Hannah and that even though she has proven that she can be a pain in the butt, she has also shown an affectionate side to the staff of the Inn.
The Three Chimneys is staffed twenty-four hours a day and has an employee stay overnight. On one special night, an employee was awoken to someone playing with their hair. The employee took her hair and put it into her gown and calmly told Hannah to go to bed. Obviously the employees do not seem threatened by this spirit. Also in the same breath, she likes to pull pranks on employees as well. One night, an employee was asleep before being awoken by a ton of racket coming from upstairs. The employee ran upstairs and found that every drawer upstairs was opened exactly one inch.
Hanna is not the type of spirit not to show herself and has on one known occasion. One night, the chef was leaving the preparing area when he saw a movement. Keep in mind, this was reported to take place at 1 am, so I’m sure the place wasn’t hopping. He was shocked to see a little girl across the bar looking back at him. Also another story, though not known to be tied to the spirit of Hanna, was when a glass lifted in the air during a party and shattered upon impact when it landed back on the table. Not a soul was near the table when this happened, but you can be sure that it must have caused freight among the partiers.
I tried to get some validation of these claims by getting in contact with the Inn, but got no response back. This is strange due to the fact that I’ve heard from several fellow ghost hunters that they allow investigations. I would love to have NEPI conduct an investigation there in the near future.
The Three Chimneys Inn seems like it offers some great services: weddings, dining, and you can host parties there. And quite possibly you could also be dining with the dead. Until next time readers, this has been another edition of Scared Sheetless. Keep it scary and happy hauntings.

The Figures in Black(Shadow People) by James Paradie

The Figures in Black(Shadow People)
Written by James Paradie

Shadow people, shadow men, or shadow folk as they are sometimes referred to are just another slice of the paranormal line of entities. They have a Grim Reaper type of appearance and some have said to have red eyes. These shadow beings have no define classification of what they are or could be: ghosts? Demons? Nobody really knows for sure. Shadow people are being seen more often and instead of just seeing them for a quick second, they are staying a lot longer in sight. How can we explain this experience? If I could choose a few words:

DOWNRIGHT SCARY.

This was a night that I remember quite vividly; I was sleeping, but yet I was dreaming. Wasn't quite a nightmare, wasn't a dream, I was dreaming about people's faces. Sounds weird I know, but that will be discussed later. I remember waking up and the lights in my room were turned on. Figuring it was someone in the house coming into my room, I turned to see what it was and to my astonishment I saw a shadow/mist like figure leave my room. It went right threw my door and as soon as its fingers or what appeared to be fingers were the last to go threw my door, the lights turned right off. Vowing to be the paranormal investigator I am, I said to myself, I'm going to stay up and see if this shadow figure comes back...sleep triumphed.

Not that I'm saying this experience has gone into a waste basket of many experiences I've had. Quite the contrary, as I'll say it belongs in my top three of the most frightening experiences I've ever had. I wasn't scared, more fascinated than anything, but I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. It was such a thrilling experience. Every now and then, when I'm in the room, I can sometimes sense something is watching me. Is it the shadow figure or is it just hallucinations?

I found one of the strangest articles on Shadow People that fit the description of the faces in my dream. This article is on Wikipedia.org and I know that a large portion of researchers, writers, journalist have red flagged Wikipedia as a source for anything since anyone can edit it, but the fact that this described my dream and my experience almost in detail is downright eerie. Apparently, according to this source, there is a condition called Hypnagogia, it's were you are in a conscious state of being awake and asleep. When this happens, you believe you are awake, but you are actually in a dream like state. The condition is also known for "the faces in the dark phenomenon" where people who experience this (such as myself) will see random faces before them. Thing is, I knew I was still asleep and dreaming of the faces; I woke up, turned my head, and saw the cloaked/mist figure walk threw my door and my light shut off. Some religions say that this could be a visit from an angel...or a demon.

If there's one thing I've learned since becoming a paranormal researcher/investigator is that if you've seen one ghost...you have NOT seen them all. Until next time, this has been another Scared Sheetless. Happy Hauntings my fellow Graveyard Disciples.
