The main banner (with the spooky house) is The Haunted House by DAN-KA. While the text ("Written by James Paradie") was done by Jennah.
James Paradie planted the seeds for Scared Sheetless in December of 2008 when he was looking for a writing gig in the freebie newspapers in his home state of New Hampshire. After being rejected by one paper, he was accepted by another.
His first article for that paper was on his first paranormal experience at the Cathouse.
After problems risen with said paper, he left writing for a while.
In October of 2009, he joined NEPI, Northeastern Paranormal Investigations.
James would also start to write for another paper called The White Mountain Shopper, ran by Glen Parker. His article would be on the famous Balsams Hotel.
The next year, in October 2010, James would start his relationship with another newspaper called the Trendy Times, ran by Gary Scruton. His first article for that paper was Haunted Legends: Bloody Mary.
In 2011, James was asked to start publishing his articles on
paranormalnews.com, owned by Jeff Behkne. The website is the leading paranormal
news website in the world. This was a huge stepping stone for both James as a
writer and for Scared Sheetless.
In 2012, this website broke 300 viewers a day and still
manages to keep that number. Now it’s more 350 (most days). Also, James leaves
White Mountain Shopper after a three year relationship.
October 22nd, 2012: James grandfather, Richard
Paradie, passes away. James takes two months off from working on SS. After
thinking about shutting SS down, he decides to keep it going as a tribute.
January 2013: James hires Nessa Flax to start editing his
first book, The Afterlife Chronicles: Symbol of the Dead. It is slated for a
summer release.
April 2013: Scared Sheetless adds a new feature where short
story writers can send their work and have it featured on SS. Roger Bryant’s story,
The Unknown Zone, was the first.
May 2013: Chad Stambaugh starts to contribute his own
paranormal articles to SS, relieving James from working on new articles for the
time being. June 2013: Jennifer Scelsi starts contributing her articles to Scared Sheetless. On the same month, SS opens up more writing opportunities to give the site more diversity.
December 6th, 2013: James first book, The Afterlife Chronicles: Symbol of the Dead is released for the Kindle. Later that month, it makes it on the iPad.
October 29th, 2014: Cindie Harper, a fellow paranormal investigator, starts contributing articles to this website. Her first article is a movie review of The Conjuring.
Further details on the man behind Scared Sheetless:
"On my spare time I read comic books (my favorites are Batman, Hellboy, Catwoman, and anything to do with Harley Quinn and Scarecrow - mostly just DC comics.) I also collect knives, daggers, and swords as long as they have a fantasy theme to them. I thoroughly enjoy writing and reading about new things, there is never a need to stop learning. I don't watch too much TV, but my favorite shows (that are not cancelled) are Sons of Anarchy, Impractical Jokers, Pawn Stars (the early years, the new stuff is now starting to REALLY look like a reality show). I also play a lot on my iPad, I'm pretty big on the Uno and Friends app (my username is Scarecrowdemon for those who want to add me as a friend). I'm a self proclaimed Titanic expert (okay, I did say self proclaim, so take that for what its worth, but I think I'm knowledgeable on the subject at least). I also collect Ghostbusters memorabilia, though my collection is not that large. Yep. I'm a nerd and damn it I'm proud! Not really though, I don't have a girlfriend ... that makes me a sad panda."
